Sell Digital Products From Social Media
A step-by-step guide to selling digital products directly from your Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube bio. Set up a storefront, create your first product, connect email capture, and start selling.
Steps
- 1
Set Up Your Stan Store
Create a Stan Store account and set up your bio-link storefront. Choose a clean layout, add your profile photo and bio, and connect your Stripe account for payments. Customize colors and fonts to match your brand. If you prefer a free option, use Beacons instead, as the setup process is similar.

Create Your First Digital Product
Choose a digital product that solves a specific problem your audience has. Templates, checklists, guides, and presets work best for social media audiences. Create the product (PDF, spreadsheet, or zip file), write a compelling title and description, set your price ($9-29 for first products), and upload it to Stan Store. Add 2-3 product images or mockups.
- 3
Optimize Your Storefront for Conversions
Arrange your Stan Store page with your product at the top, above any social links or free content. Add a customer testimonial or social proof if you have it. Enable discount codes for launch promotion. Set up an order bump (Creator Pro) to increase average order value. Preview the page on mobile, since this is where most of your traffic will come from.

Connect Email Capture
Create a ConvertKit signup form and add it to your Stan Store page below your product. Offer a free resource (a sample, a mini version of your paid product, or a related checklist) as an incentive to subscribe. Tag new subscribers as coming from your storefront. This builds a list you can sell to repeatedly, far more valuable than one-time social traffic.

Build a Post-Purchase Email Sequence
Create a 3-email sequence in ConvertKit for buyers. Email 1 (immediate): Thank them, deliver the product, and ask for feedback. Email 2 (3 days later): Share a tip related to the product and ask for a testimonial. Email 3 (7 days later): Introduce your next product or offer a discount on an upsell. This sequence turns one-time buyers into repeat customers.

Update Your Bio and Start Promoting
Update the link in your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter bios to point to your Stan Store URL. Create 3-5 pieces of content that naturally lead to your product, such as tutorials, behind-the-scenes of how you use it, or before/after transformations. Pin a post about the product to your profile. Track sales in your Stan Store dashboard and double down on the content formats that drive the most conversions.
Why Sell From Social Media?
Social media gives you attention. But attention without a conversion path is wasted. The creators earning real money from social media are not waiting for brand deals. They are selling digital products directly to their audience through their bio link.
Digital products (templates, guides, presets, ebooks, mini-courses) have near-zero cost of goods and can be sold infinitely. A single well-positioned digital product in your bio can generate passive revenue from every piece of content you post.
What You Will Build
By the end of this workflow, you will have a live bio-link storefront with at least one digital product, an email capture form for buyers and browsers, and a basic follow-up sequence to drive repeat purchases. The entire setup takes about two hours.
The Tools
We use Stan Store as the primary storefront because its embedded checkout converts social traffic better than redirect-based tools. Beacons is the free alternative if you are testing the model. ConvertKit handles email capture and follow-up sequences for repeat sales.
After Setup
Once your storefront is live, the work shifts to content. Every piece of content should have a soft or direct call-to-action pointing to your product. Track which content types drive the most sales, double down on those formats, and expand your product line based on what your audience buys.
